If we read a 3rd century story about this zero century Jesus, we read what the 3rd century people used to believe.
Quran is written somewhere in the 7th century, not re-written, it seems like the books of Moses are written around 250 BCE, and not changed since then.

Of course, Genesis is not a historical record of Adam and Eve, but it is a historical record of how people in 250 BCE believed it all started.
So we know when this believe emerged, which I find interesting to know.
I also like the bible because it shows how religion evolved, from the cruel god of Moses, all the way to pacifist hippie Jesus walking on water. So to me, bible with all these stories, compared to the quran, is like a movie compared to a single snapshot.
More books means more information and the stories show us what people used to know and believe.
