Yes, as there is a "huge gulf in quality of life" between russia and the west. That is why NATO is expanding: people do not want to live like Russians. The West is much more developed, but russia has this "simplicity" and somehow that backwardness feels like nostalgia. The difference in quality is a century of progress and growth. Russia's ideology is going back to the 19th century.

The reality is that russia started another war to restore the USSR. That's not realistic but it still is the reality: we have to deal with an imperialistic WAR, just like we did 85 years ago. We moved forward, russia moved backward so a clash is inevitable. Sadly
