@SuperErickelrojo No, the war started long before the 19th century, even before the russian revolution. War is a trait of imperialism: Russia simply is the last of Europe's colonial empires, and it's therefore an anachronism.
NATO is not fighting russia: NATO is a peace alliance of former European colonial Empires, like Spain, Austria, France, Germany, UK et cetera.
This is russia's "existential threat". Empires can only exist for a limited period: they rise and eventually they will fall.
So naturally, russia will become multi-polar or: the russian empire will collapse. This will happen as soon as russia's neighbours can not be invaded, conquered and annexed. For instance because of the NATO: that the nature of empires, they rise and fall.
