Another question (please see my first as well if you’re well versed in physics lol): is our solar system moving through space with the galaxy and basically staying in the same area of the galaxy? Or is the solar system flying through the galaxy and moving throughout it?

9:59 honest question: years ago as a teen I was hanging w/ friends riding on the back of a golf cart; long story short, I jumped straight up to avoid a punch buggy - the cart kept going and I cracked the pavement. Probably going about 10-12 mph, not super fast… but I’m certain I didn’t push back in any way, just went 180° up. Why was this? I’m a normal person who knows we live on a globe and that science is real lol I just don’t get why I didn’t move forward with the cart like he said in the video.

@Krugis haha well I’m glad I’m not alone there 😂 but yeah those little things are QUICK! As painful as it was I think nothing was hurt more than my pride… esp bc it was at Myrtle Beach so the road rash was not a good look for a 15yo boy 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 Also, I appreciate you not making me feel like a complete fool for asking that question! Hah!
