  1. 1:47 The sad fact is there are TONS of perfectly safe, functional and unused buildings and homes all over the country. Cities are loaded with unused space. If the state or federal government govt would put funding specifically toward retrofitting these buildings for low income people then we wouldn’t have as much of a homeless problem. There will always be a segment of ppl who are unable to get their lives back together and even prefer the street, but the vast majority of homeless people would thrive if just given a safe living space.
