  1.  @Samantha10887 same here. I’m an American so we don’t get many well made historical dramas lol I also love the history of the monarchy from the post Roman era up through the end of the Tudor Era, and I’ll watch almost any halfway decent series about any of those periods… I also passed on this. I’m super disappointed bc I really enjoy the history and had grown accustomed to the UK doing an awesome job with historical accuracy (in most cases lol)

  3. No. Lol she didn’t. It was an AWFUL casting choice and really just unacceptable… but she’ll get plenty of work. She IS a great actress, she just should not have been in a film portraying a VERY well known historical figure who is factually known to have been Caucasian. I’d be equally offended by seeing a white guy play the role of MLK. Once you throw out something that basic, the rest of the show loses any credibility bc it just makes you wonder “ok, what else have they ‘stretched the truth’ on or just flat out made up?”
