Nobody cares about Lee. He lost in the end, as it should have been. Bad guys lost, good guys won. Maybe someday black people will even be treated equally, we can only hope.

@KingofDiamonds85 Ok Nikki Haley. One side fought to continue the institution of slavery. Thats evil. I’m not religious but that is objectively evil - especially the way Americans used slavery of blacks as an institution in and of itself. Southerners “fighting to protect their way of life” is a nice way of saying they fought for their right to own another human being.

It’s one of the rare times in history where the objectively good side won. Yes, the post-war world for African Americans was still awful and they still weren’t given rights they deserved - and that’s really sh!tty and wrong. But it was a step toward progress… though it’s sometimes hard to tell today.
