I don’t think this is unreasonable. If you want to be an elected official then you should be held to a higher standard. Maybe there are some fishy payments made or received, maybe they’re into some shady business… if they want to hold public office I think it’s reasonable to expect those people to disclose where they’ve received their wealth.
