Why is nobody talking about the rights and LIBERTY of children? Parents are guardians, they dont own the children.

Why 16? Why not 18 or 21? Really should be a single united age for adulthood, not 12 (free meals in some restaurants), 13 (social media), 14 (working in some states), 16 (working in other states), 18 (majority of adulthood responsibilities), and 21 (renting car and buying alcohol). PICK. A. SINGLE. AGE.

Maybe separate the verifier similar to a notary public. You can provide a notary public in person or online (I'll go through example with in-person since worried about data breach) with your drivers license or other id: [1] request notary public in county or city office [2] notary public gives you an online age key that verifies you are over the age of [insert whatever age the law says]. *notary public doesn't know which websites or apps you're using* [3] go to website or app [4] when asked to provide age key, you enter. [5] now you're in (good for all websites and apps).

@ethangroat8333 Just out of curiosity, would you be fine with all age restrictions being lifted? Kid can buy a beer—no consequences for the bartender or business (was the parent's responsibility)?

Children are humans and shouldn't be owned by another. Parents are guardians. As a libertarian, should not all people have the right to liberty, and to be able to choose a guardian, when needed? Did anyone ask the children what they wanted?

What about age-gating for older people who dont know what theyre doing in this environment (akin to some kids)? What about disabled-gating for those deemed without mental capacity?

Maybe we should go back to black and white schools too (sarc). Sex segregation is as bad as race segregation. Society is society and should be intermingled.

S-x segregation is as bad as r-ce segregation. Society should be integrated. You'll be interacting with everyone anyway. Best to practise early. Why did my earlier comment get deleted?

They're not yours. Children are humans too and cannot be owned. You're a guardian. They should be able to choose their guardian too. 😮 Nobody is discussing the rights of the children

You shouldn't give it to him anyway. That baby needs to stop crawling around, pick himself up by his diaper straps, and get a job. 😂

@NeygaFaygoot Isn't that what the govt does with drivers licenses and car insurance, assume everyone's guilty and needs it?

@doomersnek3878 What if you advertise to the kid? Frosted flakes and candy can be just as addictive as social media or Crack 😂
