@dzurfluh2156 Agreed. I think allowing elderly care homes to serve as daycares and babysitting would be beneficial to both parents and the elderly. This could be free for parents or for a nominal fee. Many elders would love the company and those that don't need not participate. The kids could be in the common room with the elders playing games, watching tv, reading to each other, etc. Participating elders get tax breaks and subsidies for the care for what is not provided. Many elders today, not just in japan, face loneliness and isolation. I feel this could help.

Is there not also a way to give tax breaks to those that marry and have kids to bolster the Native population? Perhaps -7% off of income tax for marriage for as long as married, and -2% off of income tax for each child (adopted or conceived) until the age of 18 (up to 5 children)? Could require this to apply only for 3rd generation German natives or so, if implemented by cdu, for example.

@CHMichael Apologies, no offence was intended. I was trying to see from the cdu perspective (I'd imagine the social democrats/centre left and far left could implement with all generations so it is more inclusive), but you say that is super extreme right wing? In japan, the ldp is not considered such but has very limited immigration levels (though it has not implemented the proposed plan which could help Japan's ageing population).
