  2. That Nimue died in her pursuit of greater magic but Merlin couldn't accept it or that he led her to it, and so, became her because that was the closest he could get to her in all these lifetimes.

  4. Weren't the French the ones to introduce all these tragic love narratives into the Authorian myths in the first place? I don't think the whole Lancelot love triangle thing even existed beforehand.
