When allies landed in Normandy Jun 1944...German army already was defeated!...Soviet army fought vs Germans but also vs loyal nazi troops like Baltics, Finland, Spanish blue division, Romanians, Hungarians, many Russian, Belarrusian, Ukrainians defectors which were fighting alongside with Germans...at the end they had to fight and expel Japanese from Manchuria and Far east
