When I use it on the gentlest setting, I try to keep the stream of water away from my gums. Same when I use floss. I no longer go up into the gums and wrap the floss around my teeth like my dental professionals instructed. When I followed their directions, my gums looked horrible. I'm very grateful that through Dr Ellie's system they look so much healthier now and have come up nicely around my bottom teeth.

You came to the WRONG place to make this comment. She's trying to help you, Einstein!
19
My dentist told me to do the same thing. Vigorous flossing is good for gums was the implication. I noticed however that my gums were looking worse. I feel like such a fool for my blind obedience! So grateful (beyond words) to have found Dr Ellie to set things straight. For the first time in 60 years, I feel I am getting the right advice for how to take care of my mouth.
14
She fully explains her rationale for choosing these products on her website.
13
She does cover how to do gum massage in her tooth brushing video, but I would love to learn more about it as well.
11
May I ask what brand of xylitol you purchase that comes from birch? Most that I have found are from corn, probably most genetically modified. I prefer the stuff from birch trees. 🙂
10
@pvp6077 I agree. People are free to research further. Plus Dr Ellie has two books and a couple of websites that go into a lot more detail and do site references. How much do people expect from a freakn YouTube video? It's not a dissertation fer heavns sake. 🙄
8
That's great! 👍 Glad to hear your success story. 🙂
8
Congrats! I'm about one month in and so looking forward to excellent results like yours. 😊
8
@dr.elliephillips These extra details about xylitol are so interesting and good to know! 👍
6
@dr.elliephillips Just like the history of medicine-- wrong about so many things! And today the field of what's called 'science' is more polluted than ever. Plus social media sound bites can never tell the whole story. That's why your experience, vast expertise, benevolence, and generous sharing as a doctor is so very valued. 🙏😇💕
6
Always a gracious, kind response from drellie. ❤️
6
@dr.elliephillips I read lots of comments on your videos of people saying that they pull with Xylitol or swish it around in their mouths with a little water. It would be great if you could do a video on this. Or just on pulling as opposed to rinsing. You may have already done one but it seems this is a subject that could use some clarification.
6
That's great! I think xylitol has something to do with your sinuses improving.
6
@chrislastnam6822 Yeah, I'm afraid to deviate myself. There's something about the synergistic way her recommended products work together that bring excellent results.
5
@azrainstorm75 Seems like it takes about 4 months or a bit longer on her program to see results. The longer you go, the better it gets. Best wishes to you for strong mouth health.
5
I use both gum and mints and also Xylitol crystals.
5
I am interested in that subject too and would love to hear her discuss it. I'm confused about using the Listerine and the risks relates to blood pressure.
4
I have terrible staining as well. I wish she would address this issue that effects many of us. So now we need to have dental cleanings to remove it? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose and damage the protection were getting?
4
Well put, and I agree 💯!
4
@yitzchokpollack152 Dr Ellie says to mix some xylitol in with the toothpaste and scrub those stained areas with it daily. It worked for me. Even on teeth I didn't use that combo on, the staining went away after a few months.. I don't know why but I was super happy about that. Hopefully, that will happen for you too.
4
She repeatedly says not to substitute products. They are designed to work synergistically.
3
3 months, she says.
3
@dr.elliephillips I just found you the other day and I'm so excited to try your system! Problem is, I have an issue with mint and having strong flavors in my mouth since I regularly take homeopathic remedies. Do you have any suggestions for me on that? Thank you. I appreciate this info so very much! 😊
3
I suspected these headlines were a sham. Have you noticed lately how many headlines point to this or that thing causing an increase risk of heart attacks and strokes? It's constant and it's a cover for what really caused an increase in heart attacks and strokes. (Hint: it's the thing most people took in 2021.) Take care of yourselves, folks. And many thanks to Dr. Ellie for this comprehensive explanation.
3
She doesn't agree. It would be great to hear them discuss/ debate these issues. Dr Ellie has a track record these other dentists don't have, so my money's with her.
3
Thanks for your comment. I just read about cetylpyridinium chloride and how it can create brown stains on teeth. I guess there's no way around it if using the System. Ironically though, it causes you to need a dental cleaning!
3
Same for me. I really don't like the artificial ingredients and fluoride in the products, but it comes down to results and this system gets them!
3
Also if you're concerned about your gums, just don't bring the floss all the way up to the gum line and be gentle. I have a couple of spots between my teeth that collect food and always have to floss those areas.
2
Me too. I hate ingredients like fluoride and artificial colors, but it's important to put it in perspective and keep in mind the overall benefit which is, hopefully, substantial.
2
@Maggie-zr2ow Thank you.👍
2
Good to hear you comment on that documentary. So many people quote it as if it's gospel. I think the best bet is to go to a highly qualified advanced endodontist who uses all the latest techniques for a proper root canal. Be prepared to $pend though.
2
Agree. Please heed these comments and leave it off. It's distracting. Dr. Ellie's voice is enough and what we wanna hear.
2
I have the same dark staining from the total mouth care system. I think it's an ingredient in the ACT that causes the brown stains- only for some of us. Wish I knew how to remove it rather than having it roughly scraped off during a cleaning... Which from what I understand would be a bad thing for my teeth. It would damage the biofilm.
2
Ain't that the truth?? Greed is the name of the game. 🤑
2
I saw where she answered this question and she said it doesn't matter.
2
I have the brown staining too. It's really gotten bad after about a month and a half on the System. I don't know what's causing it. I hope Dr Ellie discusses it since a good number of us get it.
2
@lja000 I'm with you. I suspect that my dentist's suggestions are causing me more problems. They are in business and what do they care if you lose your teeth? They just make more money! I'm planning to try her system.
2
I heard her recommend miswak sticks for people who are dead set against using fluoride products.
1
@dr.elliephillips Thank you so much for this recommendation!! My cats have had terrible dental problems. I thought that was such an odd question for someone to ask and yet you answered- fabulous! 😸💕
1
@dr.elliephillips For sure.👍
1
@user-ry1vi1jc7o People need to remember that they profit off your illness. They want you sick and with health problems to make money off your illness to keep them in business. They will go to great lengths to instill fear and try to convince you with their fake 'science.' I wish more people would wake up to the predatory nature of all things conventionally medical.
1
Xylitol has helped my digestion-- more specifically, my elimination. @v.e.7236
1
I massage my gums with a xylitol toothpaste when I get up in the morning, before my morning meal, and then do the system after I eat and drink. Hope that is supportive, even though not part of the total mouth care system.
1
@melmil9836 They don't tell you why you have it because THEY DON'T KNOW, lol. Nor do they know how to fix it. They only know how to do the ineffective procedures they've been taught so that they can make money.
1
@dr.elliephillips So glad to hear you address this problem! I wondered if brushing the brown areas more vigorously would hurt my teeth. I did do that in some areas and I noticed the staining improved. I'm going to try mixing xylitol with the paste on some of my other teeth but since the browning is close to the gum line I have to be careful not to scrub that delicate area too roughly. I wonder if a smaller brush would be more effective to target the brown stains.
1
@SunrayStar Thanks, but I'm more worried about my gums since some of the discoloration is at the gum line.
1
@SunrayStar I've been brushing the way Dr Ellie suggests, with the xylitol and toothpaste and I notice the brown stains are improving considerably. Very happy about that!
1
It's terribly sad how we've been brainwashed by the medical indu$trial complex. Thankfully, some of us are a bit smarter and look outside the proverbial box. I'm so grateful for Dr Ellie and to all the smart doctors out there who the medical establishment refers to as 'quacks.' (the irony!) The past few years I've come to learn that most of what the system is selling is a scam.
1
@jessecortez9449 I take Calc Flour, Calc Phos, and Silica cell salts daily too. They are said to be good for teeth hair nails and bones. I hope they are helping! I do wonder what effect they have on my teeth when I put them under my tongue. I imagine the ones made with sucrose are worse than the lactose based ones.
1
I've heard her say that that black line is just the tartar collecting at the base of the teeth as it is being removed from the products. She says in time it will go away or you can have it removed via a cleaning. Best to stick to the system!
1
The tooth fairy has nothing on you @dr.elliephillips– You are an angel. So grateful for all the insights and wisdom you share! 🙏🦷😇♥
1
I've heard her say either can be used. The Birch type is generally healthier due to how corn has been polluted and GMO'd.
1
@banderson6102 To my surprise, I love the ones she recommends by Dr Plotka sold on Amazon.
1
She says to soak them for about a minute, daily to a few times a week in some Listerine.
1
@dr.elliephillips If it's not the meat and dairy council, it's the coconut coalition! Always special interests funding studies for their own enrichment. These are the studies people are demanding to see as 'proof.' It's a minefield and the joke's on us! I'll take your advice, Dr Ellie, over a mountain of studies with falsified results. You are truly an angel of dentistry! I can't tell you how grateful I am to have found you! I'm excited to start on your system as soon as my products arrive in a few days. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🙏❤️😁🦷❤️
1
@pvp6077 Excellent response.👍
1
I know Dr Ellie doesn't like floss, but if I don't floss certain areas of my mouth, food particles will stay in there. The rinses don't get it out. I know she doesn't like a water pik either, but after I eat (especially certain foods) if I use a water pick on the low setting and keep it away from my gum line, a lot of food comes out into the sink!.Again, rinsing my mouth out with water does not get the debris out. I try to be ultra gentle but I feel I need to floss some just by the nature of how my teeth are positioned in my mouth. Other than that, I follow her TMCS to a T and my gums are looking MUCH healthier than when I started. I am so grateful for all I have learned from Dr. Ellie, the dental angel. 😇🦷💟
1
@luizagrant8544 I heard her say Clove Oil damages teeth and should not be used in the mouth.
1
@francineclave2207 Wow, that's really something! Clearly your dentist sees you as a commodity bringing money into his office and not a human in need of real care. Such an abhorrent policy! This is very similar to other allopathic requirements that do nothing for our health and only hurt us. Glad you are seeking out a new dentist. Best wishes to you.
1
@Kaptain0blivious117 Congratulations! From what I heard her say, mixing some xylitol in with the toothpaste ought to help get rid of any staining.
1
I believe dentists do that to push the responsibility back onto you because they do not know how to heal you. Maybe on a subconscious level they know that and that they are just using you as a tool to make money. Blaming you is a way of making them feel better about themselves.
1
I'd like to know this too. I'm concerned my teeth will be damaged by a rough dental cleaning to get rid of the brown spots.
1
@runae7368 I wish too, but I doubt she will. I have the brown staining problem as well. It doesn't really show much so I put up with it. My priority is to have a healthy mouth.
1
@SunrayStar This is SO very helpful! Thank you for posting this detailed information. 😊
1
@beingmcbean8947 I hope she replies, but my guess is she'll say that the way the system works is with every one of the five elements that work synergistically together. She says that over and over again. I really would like to hear her say something about the staining and how to best deal with it.
1
Really? I don't think so. Everything in the body is connected, so that possibility makes a lot of sense. For example, the gut microbiome influences the bacteria balance in the mouth and can cause problems there. Cleaning up the mouth affects the entire body which is why her system can be so beneficial for overall health.
1
Forget about the mythical tooth fairy... Dr Ellie is our magical tooth angel! 😇💕
1
@jmc8076 it's interesting that they don't do these studies. It's bad for indu$try.
1
@panmaru101 That's awful! It should come as no surprise considering that allopathic medical doctors and their procedures and pharma are the leading cause of death.
1
They want you to stop doing these good things so that they can make money off of you as their patient! Most of these dentists see us as dollar signs and not as actual people.🙄
1
@stephieg.2580 I disagree. He's a good candidate for her system and I bet it will help a lot.
1
Believe Dr Ellie. She has a proven track record- her system works, and you can take your dental care into your own hands. Dr Mark B just doles out advice and tells you to go to expensive dentists.
