And in medicine it is almost always different numbers of people i each group. Only for teeny tiny tests are the numbers equal. "doesn't include those for which there was no change)" There was no people for which there was no change. it would be silly to include and extra row with just "0" in it.

They are being asked, based on these numbers, does gun controll reduce crime. How the data is gathered does not in any way affect this.

  4. no. A rash can either get better or worse over time. The cream just slightly shifts the percantage of people into the worse category.
