  1. Wesley John De John I’m not kidding, lol could be a number different reasons why they’re depressed, it’s not just because of school. It all comes down to being stressed, though, and the breaking point of having no limitations...especially how their culture is similar to Japan (working wise). Oh, and btw, depression and suicide is common in wealthy first world counties and their correlated major cities. However, in some places, such as Korea and Japan, its almost impossible to speak up about any situation that relates to mental abuse or overworking.

  5. Minsang1st I totally understand their society and culture (go read my Previous comment). I think Korea and China's addiction to shitty video games is still pathetic. I think you're trying to hard to understand a simple problem, and I think it's because you've never tried committing suicide...so you don't get how it works. Yes, I've tried committing suicide (obviously failed), because of my severe depression and anxiety. Does this mean I have to "respect" their society? No, I think that's total bullshit, because I don't "respect" a society that's fucked up. I'll be sure to go to "hell", dude, thanks for the advice.

  6. shirokaze That's totally wrong and not how it works. People who take these "pills" (anti-depressants) don't become killers...they could simply fall down a deeper hole of depression, then kill themselves (depending on the individual). So bullshit "theory" is bullshit.

  7. Cabbage Lettuce You need to read. The op told me to go to hell for not respecting Korea’s society. It’s definitely apart of addiction, where it’s bad for both casual/competitive gamers. I’ve seen a doc on Vice (I think it was) where a competitive gamer in Korea tried to kill himself over some scandal in the business side of the gaming industry. But anyway, it’s all “do or die” with their gaming addictions, they have escapism on one hand, and the other is extremely high-standards for winning. This is one of the many factors of slowly dying from gaming addiction. For you other question, again, read my previous comments, and don’t jump to conclusions.

Minsang1st I never said that they’re going through the same exact situation and thoughts that’s I’m going through, which is impossible, since we will never full comprehend an individuals thought process (the brain being too complex, is what I’m saying). However, we all have something similar, right? That is the on-going battle of depression...and I think, that I will eventually loose the battle. I don’t (and I can’t) compare myself to society, or even begin to cope with it, since my head will always against the current. I can’t really explain my hatred for humanity or myself, and that is another “story” that will be never fully understood by anyone, but myself. Yes, I wrote it vaguely on purpose, since I’m all about those reactions. No, I was talking about it from another perspective, and how shitty games stimulate a human being so forcefully. So, I’d say it’s both pathetic and sad that they waste their life’s away on games that could be compared to mainstream app/iOS games.
