Mostly everyone in these comments come from a place of complete unawareness of how the Japanese personality/culture is deeply flawed by arrogance and stubbornness to the point of extreme ignorance. What the so-called scientists/doctors did was morally unjustified and inhumane. So much, that it could be considered a spiritual succession of a torture routine of Unit 731. I’m not blaming the family, the nurses, or the victim, Ouchi himself. No, that blame goes directly to the individuals in charge of continuing this failed pro-life agenda, when the end result was always going to be the death of a human being who had a loving family. I’m really not appreciating the hivemind mentality of “respecting” those who don’t deserve respect. And no, I don’t agree with Wendigoon either. There’s always a balance of rationality and humility, and in this case, it goes to the extremity of human disgust rather than human perseverance.
