Ash O Of course. I’m a pale individual that grew up with immigrants in my town (which is North Jersey). I was the only white “looking” dude in all my classes, throughout all my schooling, even in college. So I understand the perspective of being a minority, and being surrounded by many different cultures and religions, really helped me evolve as an individual. Although, I disagree with the whole “pride” aspect of where I come from. I can adapt to any environment since I grew up in a unique environment :)

@chucumber28 The skin color among people is something that is never brought up, so I appreciate your insight. I know that it's a problem in Asian countries, like for example India. Typical beauty standards are often associated with light-skinned individuals.

@asho345 I don't think parents are supposed to help you in those situations. But how has the cultural differences aspect affected you?

@asho345 You're projecting. It's simply called "education". I've self-educated myself about history and everything else I needed to know. I'm sorry it was harder for you to deal with ignorant parents, which was exactly the situation I had to deal with. But instead of asking for help, I helped myself. I'm sure if you used the internet as a tool for knowledge, you'd get the answers you're looking for.

@asho345 No, I understand all that, I'm just saying education can help eradicate those insecurities. I've seen dozens of individuals who are frustrated on their "identity", yet don't take the initiative of doing research. You can only blame yourself for not putting in the effort to learn more about the world.
