  6.  @TheMarionick  Btw, The Machinist is a pretty good movie, very cringy at times with it's erriness. I agree with The Shining being "overrated", I think there's a ton of filer that could've been edited out. Besides that, I think a few of his adaptations have the same problem, such as Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile.

  7. TheMarionick You said “non-horror” movies...lol, which means you’re talking about the thriller genre. I’m saying there’s a ton of movies out there that have the same feeling. The Master with Joaquin Phoenix has that same weirdness. Even 8mm is odd. Actually, Joaquin is just a weird dude if you’ve seen his movies in general, he always plays an eccentric character.

  9. TheMarionick You're talking to an expert when it comes to anything animation XD and that movie is pretty rad. I would categorize it as a thriller with some horror elements because of the disturbing dolls/puppets. So yes, it's still considered a "thriller". Anything that has suspense and induces anxiety is considered a thriller. That's why people confuse it with horror, because they're very similar. The director (Jan Svankmajer) is known for his avant-garde approach, with movies like Greedy Guts, Lesson Faust, and Luancy. Other short, stop motion animations that have the same disturbing themes are shorts like Streets of Crocodile and Mad God.

  10. adrias3 RAW is the equivalent of watching an Eli Roth movie. You might as well watch Green Inferno or the Hostel franchise.
