@zelinematthews It seems to me it’s more of a hivemind situation, which, in other words, a cult.

@becca-tg5pn It is though? Unless you can elaborate? I’ve seen many documentaries, and have did personal research on this topic, I personally wouldn’t join any organizations like these, or any in general.

But then you sacrifice your individuality and integrity as a human.

@MementoVivere. Yes, and both sides with deal with toxicity, even more so with the men who take advantage of the girls.
7
wlndbeach I’m so confused by these nonsensical comments, lol, but ok.

@FIREcrochethairstyles You join a sorority or fraternity by “subscribing” to the “rules” of the so-called sisterhood and brotherhood, and it’s a “life” commitment. I’d rather fend for myself by not joining anything that would include toxicity and ignorance, which is really, any organization or institution in the US.
6
That’s why the US is filled with incompetence, because of these corrupt institutions or organizations. You have barely educated individuals gaining access into high-paying positions with little to no morals. But then again, it’s also just stupidity on management as a whole to hire individuals with no sense of morality and common sense.

@TheALfever Both sides are equally bad either way. The “representation” still represents toxicity, even if these institutions have different “rules”.

@JoJoPaaanda Of course. An organization like that will eventually make you succeed in some way. And I’m glad it helped you keep motivated, I’m just anti-organization for the most part, and would rather rely on myself for most things.

@xwrtk But I “read and watch” real stories with real people? I’ve read articles with individuals dying from hazing rituals. Documentaries that talk about how men from these fraternities manipulate and take advantage of females, while seeing many rituals in general from different Greek houses, all from men. Obviously I know it’s not all of them that are too toxic, but I’m still firmly against it, as I’m anti-organization. I’d rather fight on my own than rely on corrupt or confused groups of people who don’t do anything substantial with their lives.

@xwrtk I literally said “not all of them are like that”? It seems like you’re not taking me seriously, or you didn’t read my words correctly. I genuinely don’t care about your experience with your fraternity at your college, when I’m talking about them in general, and how dangerous the hazes can be in certain regions of the US, with individuals actually dying. What happens to the college afterwards? Nothing really. It doesn’t matter if they’re not all the same, when I clarified that in my previous comment to you. I think these “cults” are jokes, civil or not.

@skyblack12301997 They’re “social clubs”, which means easier access to job opportunities. I have a degree and some experience, but it literally doesn’t mean anything. I’d rather suffer than join any cult or social club though, since my college experience was exactly that: Social cliques (favoritism) that follow professors to the point of losing their individuality to get a job opportunity near the end of college. It’s pathetic.

@xwrtk That’s called “nepotism”, lol; you’re glorifying the wrong kind of “help”. I don’t think you understand basic suffering, because life isn’t as easy as you think it is.
1
@elizabeth-fy8pc How so? And what particularly don’t you agree on?
1
@myrthedejong130 Yes?
1
@myrthedejong130 I already did in the comments. Most organizations are cults, lol.
1
@myrthedejong130 There’s a distinguished difference between an actual “cult” and a cult that has subtle traits of a generic cult. Any organization, or a government, can easily be labeled as a cult without having outwardly appearances of the “cult” you’re referring to.
