Allison Gilson Well, I hate drawing but I continue to do so because it’s for my sanity and I want to see the end result of my story.
I didn’t say it’s “good for all”, but there’s no harm in trying to explore different mediums just because. Maybe take an art class, I didn’t like ceramics and I had to take it for high school and college; but everyone else enjoyed it, and playing with clay is a stress reliever.
You’d be surprised on how many dysfunctional artists dealt with their demons while doing art, like Van Gogh for example. Yes, I understand that, although I’m an individual who prefers reality rather than escapism. My favorite works all have melancholy and macabre vibes. Everyone should do their own thing, I’m not judging, just suggesting.
Let them be “valid”, why should I care? I said form the start that everyone deals with their problems in certain ways, I wasn’t trying to force anything on anyone. You’re projecting on how you feel, I’ve already accepted my death and whatever else many years ago, and I don’t care what anyone thinks. No, I want to suffer and I’m suffering right now (literally because of severe pain from an injury). “wishing” is not part of my philosophy, although that’s up to you. For me, this is what true art is about, suffering is what brings out the absurd, dark side of reality.

Allison Gilson I see, it sounded different when I read into it, so my mistake.
Lol, I never said you were being “delusional”?
Well, to me, it sounded like you were being real and went on a rant, but it’s all good.
No, it has nothing to do with “opinions”, it’s a fact that many artists have mental illnesses and have clearly displayed their despair and pain into their work, especially if you know their story.
I agree, although personally, I don’t escape reality, I like to see all of it, which means I want to see death and suffering in storytelling.
When did I say anything about not being “hopeful”? Please quote me? I always support people, you’re probably talking about my philosophy which isn’t directed at anyone but myself.
