  3. The money part is definitely true. Not saying all these organizations are truly bad, but there’s a lot of corruption and other messed up things going on in the Vatican, for example. I still don’t believe in any “higher forces”, lol. Maybe advanced civilizations...but that’s about it, our imagination is extremely limited.

  7. Angelina Mendez Well, as an atheist, I could probably answer those questions: I have high moral standards because I set my own principles and philosophies that I abide by. Of course, this is from me evolving and adapting throughout the years, including self-educating myself because I felt society was severely lacking in morality. The “meaning” in my life is based solely on my ambitions, which includes helping humanity...since I’m a humanitarian and I believe in synergy. Other than that, I’d say my philosophy is complex, but it’s purpose is simple, which is to help those around me and stay conscious of my choices. I believe “honor” and “dignity” is the best way to describe me and how I live life.

  11. Grace Elaine That’s cool XD I respect your opinion or theories on what you believe. But I definitely think a lot of people can’t accept death, so that’s still a fact. Again, with the extremists, they’re obsessed with the Bible and think if they don’t follow what’s in it, then they’ll go to hell. But that leads to a delusional mindset and hypocrisy; it’s all based on history.

I'm an atheist and I don't believe in a "higher God", I just can't acknowledge that concept, since I believe we're all equal in the universe, so I guess I'm kinda referencing Buddhism XD Anyway, I do think there's a lot of "fairy tale" ideologies that represent these bibles. Besides that, there's also a sense of oppressiveness that harms the individual, thus is why some people can't express who they're because they take the verses too seriously. Or, the church itself condems these "feelings".

If you want to really learn anything, you have to go to the source. And that's why the majority of people don't understand philosophy and many terminologies, because they're easily brainwashed and don't do research.

  26. As an atheist, I think we need a balance, however, there are a ton of extremists that can make anything bad, sadly. Also, it wasn’t just the Netherlands, you shouldn’t forget about all the ancient civilizations that believed in polytheism, and they created many tools using math and the stars as their guides :)

  37. grace blackburn I see. That went very dark quickly XD it seems very challenging to deal with. I have no idea what my OCD is categorized under, but I have to keep educating myself until I learn everything about the subject/topic. For example, I grew up on anime...then when I got older, I just researched everything about anime. Then after anime, I ended up researching the history of animation so I wouldn’t be biased. The same happened with comics, movies, history, philosophy, etc. So I question myself on what I could be missing in terms of the process, formulas, ideologies...lol, it gets exhausting.

  43. Sarah Ah, yes, I’ve heard that a ton of times XD I do get this “dreamlike” feeling when I’m walking around outside. Especially if I’m tired...nothing feels tangible or real. Other than that, I feel like that’s something Alex Jones would rant about XD However, I do know a ton about secret societies and the CIA. Do you live in the US?

  68. Sara The Bible’s in general contradict their meanings. But yea, I’m sure the other part is true. Judaism, Islam, and Christianity, you’d assume they’d be “relatable”...but nope XD There was a time where those 3 religions could be practiced in peace, however.

  69. Sara Abdelrahim Also, since there’s always been extremism in religion, I’d like to bring up communism. Karl Marx himself was an atheist, but the dude didn’t hate religion (even though he wasn’t a big fan of the Jews, even if he was a Jew). Ironically, same as religion (linear propaganda), the masses have been brainwashed to think “communism” is real...when it’s never been used. For example, Stalin, Pol Pot, and Mao Zedong proclaimed they were “communists”/socialists...but nope, they were in actuality “fascists”. I think the real problem here, is that everyone is illiterate and can’t read XD therefore they’re extremists because they’re ignorant and misinterpret the texts.

  70. Sara Abdelrahim That’s true! The Old and New Testament, for instance. Of course! That’s why Marin Luther criticized the pope and now there’s 10 different sects of Protestantism. That’s why everyone is so divided, too, because the Bible has been cut to pieces, following a strict diet of different verses and everyone has their own interpretation. I’ve recently read the Quran (just out of curiosity), and I can see why it can be very misleading. Even though the biggest agenda is hating on other religions...specifically calling the Jews “donkeys” XD

I believe he was making fun of the Jews? He said that they need to follow Allah and basically they’re fools if they don’t. But yea, he did mention the Torah...so it’s basically a competition on who’s superior, from what I gathered. And then there’s other contradictions? Where it says you need to hurt those who don’t follow Allah...then in another instance he says don’t hurt the disbelievers.

I meant to say is that these religions do have many inconsistencies throughout the entirety of the text. Many of them are good, some are oppressive and imo, are bad morals to stand by.   79. I’m atheist and I’m also a historian. You’re right, but you’d have to do more research to find out the whole story. Other than that, religion isn’t truly evil, there’s actually some verses that promote positive morals. And it helps people who are suffering, so it’s not entirely bad, but it’s not entirely good either.

  82. Tom Ball Lol, it’s my honor and dignity. I guess I get some of it from Japanese history and their philosophy on how they discipline themselves. But my philosophy is based on an array of other philosophies: anarchism, socialism, libertarianism, humanitarianism, minimalism, etc. I’ve never “conformed” to society’s standards on how I should “act”, and I think that’s why I always hated school or any other formal events. I’m against capitalism, yet I fully support it if it’s used the right way, which is using it strategically and resourcefully. So in conclusion, I personally believe in not betraying my own morality: honor and dignity, which in itself is my essence of my humanity. I’m not saying I’m not flawed and sometimes, petty sacrifices must be made to evolve, but I’m not saying that in a malicious intent...more like an instinctual sense. Anyway, I’ve gotten betrayed so many times that I’m glad I have, it gives more reason to never repeat what those individuals did to me.

  83. MetakJesu07 I’m talking about my own “moral codes”. I’m talking about how I’ve developed and educated myself throughout the years, and how my past actions reflect my future decisions. You’re confused on what I’ve said, and you shouldn’t be, since I’ve listed many different philosophies that correlate with my personality and demeanor. Obviously their reasoning on those definitions have nothing to do with me, since everyone defines themselves on certain terms.

  84. MetakJesu07 He didn’t ask that, he asked for me to “define” what my morals were and what are considered the “highest form”. Not all “moral codes” are equal. As I said, I’m not like most individuals. Now you’re being vague. It all depends on the conversation and the context, not everyone agrees to everything, but that’s separate from my own philosophy. The principles I set for myself, I take very seriously, and if I do something against my own philosophy, I would obviously have to own up to it and embrace the consequences.

Those are all based on theories and philosophies, which means it’s a lifestyle. Are we basing this on the intensity of a crime? Morality as I define it, by my own philosophy, is to not harm anyone unless they try to harm me, so I act in defense to protect my life. It’s common sense. My philosophy is more defined and complicated. I’m a futurist and I believe in creativity, and that means I’m into innovation. That’s one aspect to my philosophy. You’re thinking too much. I think maybe you’re confused on your own philosophy?

I love learning more about history everyday, and since I have some time since I just graduated college, I’ve been reading non-stop. If you’re interested in religion, you should research the Roman Empire, where Christianity spread across Europe after they wiped out most of the Celts. Are you studying for a project, or are you just interested in the Netherlands?
