  2. Hey man. I'm curious, but is that a Malcolm X hat? Also, that sucks you got hit by that cop, that shouldn't have happened. I also got hit by a cop and I'm a white dude. I didn't even talk back or anything, I think he was just being cautious of the situation. It was a big misunderstanding.

  6. I'm sure it happens, but not all the time. I'm a white dude who's been hit by a cop. I'm sure anything can happen, especially in bad neighborhoods where it's unpredictable.

  10.  @larrythesociologist  Ah, I'm very curious on why you like him so much? I'm a historian and I never understood the significance of Malcolm X. I felt like he was full of hatred and was very racist. He read a few books in prison and thought very hihgly of himself...which I thought was arrogant. He also hated his identity and name, which made him convert to Islam. I don't think he understood the Qur'an, either, since all he talked about were white people? And the Nation of Islam? Wasn't it a cult? Elijah Muhammad's writings were manipulative and sick. Maybe Malcolm X was confused, vulnerable and lost? Maybe you can give me your opinion on him? Also, I agree. I'm not afraid of cops, personally, since I know my rights. But they do have a military-esque vibe.

  11.  @larrythesociologist  No, I fully self-educated myself in history, philosophy, theology, anthropology, psychology, etc. I do not trust the government or the media for information regarding those subjects, because they produce propaganda. Self-research is always important to evolve. For an African-American, I'm sure there's differing opinions on who was a better role model: Malcolm X or MLK. He was indeed a public racist because his believes were full of hatred. I'm sure after he parted ways with the Nation of Islam, his views changed. Contradicting your thoughts on his words isn't going to change the facts. Was he a necessary force, as you say? I would agree, but his philosophy was full of immaturity and insecurity. He was a confident leader who was sadly corrupted. If you study history, you wouldn't see 2 seperate worlds, you'd see one. As I said before, you aren't going to learn about history unless you put in the effort. Black History Month is propaganda. Forget about the US for a second, because where is the acknowledgment for the apartheid in South Africa? The 27 years Nelson Mandela spent in prison? The segregation of the whole country, that Africans had to bring a passport to even move around in limiting, cut-off regions? That's only a small part of history.

  12. Larry Chats The South hasn’t evolved since the Civil War. The Bible Belt/Deep South states are still intoxicated by the past. I’m sure religion is also a big part of the dysfunctional mentality. Slavery is a very broad topic, and I’m sure you don’t know all the details. I don’t know if you’re interested in these topics, but if you want me to elaborate or give references, I’d be glad to enlighten you. Also, the Civil War isn’t transparent in the details. The US is extremely dark and not talked about in-depth, only certain events are highlighted with trivial, whitewashed information.
