  1. Korean culture is pretty harsh, but it’s the whole of Asia that has strict customs. There’s a Korean documentary called “The Drop Box” that highlights people abandoning their babies because of mental/physical defects. Don’t forget, these customs go back to many generations, that’s why socially, Asia hasn’t evolved as the West.

  2. Dr. AteKk Yes, and that has to do with the harsh customs and conservatism when it comes to separation, but it doesn’t mean they’re happy.

  3. Dr. AteKk Low crime, yes. Family unit...not so much. In rural areas that may be true, such as in Okinawa where you have customs that prioritize the elderly. But I’m specifically talking Asian countries like Japan and Korea where the family orientation situation lacks.

  9.  @jiaqingw  I get where you're coming from. Communism is so toxic and idiotic that I can rant about my hatred for Karl Marx and everyone he influenced for hours. The same goes for me criticizing the US constitution, or the history of the previous constitution's. I love China for its history and people, so it's sad that we continue to use capitalism and communism with no structure whatsoever, other than evil, hedonistic ways.
