Comments by "VoidX" (@aus-li) on "Why It's So Hard To Get People To Care About Humanitarian Crises" video.
Besides the whole “agenda” and “brainwashing” ideal to connect to the mass has failed...and will continue to fail, is because most people are ignorant. Pushing VR headsets onto people will undoubtedly have the same effect, as they’re spinning around their chairs in boredom. Instead of showing people PG-13 content (I’ve seen the worst shit possible on the “Dark Web”), educating people in a realistic matter of why people are being dehumanized will “enlighten” those who don’t know how the world works...especially in a developing country. Everyone is too busy being fake and not taking the time to strategize how a true human connection should function...not by using technology as an excuse.

NotThatBad No, apparently “foreigners” are “aliens”.

LordMyron09 That’s exactly the right direction you should continue to strive for! I’m glad you’re helping and talking to the people.

Johnny Appleseed I don’t think I would ever spare money on an organization (without doing research). But, I think visiting a country and talking to the people will have the best outcome. These “organizations” are extremely hard to trust: They sit around and preach their ideologies and solutions, yet they sit in a comfortable environment...yea, how hypocritical can you get. Money will never solve everything, honestly, human interaction and understanding is the ultimate form of compassion. Money is an object and talking is used for progression; it’s really not hard to understand, but people are so fucking dense.

LordMyron09 Where does the resources go to, though (which states)? It’s because these international organizations fucked everything over, to the point where they can’t be trusted. It’s not your fault, but now you’re being branded along with them. You’ve gotta tell people otherwise, I mean if it’s in the states, it’s more believable and not as complex as international organizations, too.

LordMyron09 Yea, that’s pretty sad, dude. Little groups that are transparent and sincere shouldn’t get the hate, but maybe that’ll help you in the future? Maybe if you keep doing good for the people who really need it, it will eventually turn in your favor. There are other ways to change the “opinions” of those who continue to be ignorant, maybe show them examples of pictures (of the community you’re helping) to prove them wrong? Or better yet, you could even make a short documentary to show how you’re trustworthy of your presence, and how proud the volunteers are to help people in dire need. Just a thought; but again, thanks for helping the poor communities.

Aurα вírdч I agree with you, would should you care about their situation, or about some random individual who is on the brink of death because of some mindless war? I on the other hand, wouldn’t mind giving money to certain countries...especially those that have good people in them. But the major problem: I don have a single cent to offer because I’m broke, and also, I don’t know where my money will eventually end up. I wouldn’t trust anyone with my hard earned money and my dignity that goes with it, so I would have to take action myself to get to the bottom of the situation. These organizations are cynical and full of shit, which is what they literally represent: A bunch of pretentious, generic individuals who exploit on the people who are actually suffering. But that’s just my opinion or perspective of them.

fengkorberfer What do you mean? Hey, being “edgy” is an alternative word for being “truthful”, so I’ll take it as a compliment.
