Comments by "VoidX" (@aus-li) on "Vans Warped Tour Had to End Because Punk Is Dead" video.
2004, 2005 and 2006 were the biggest years. Bands like Fallout Boy, Paramore and My Chem really brought out the fans.

21 Alar The “movement” has been dead since the 80s, but the elements and emotions of punk is still very much relevant.

RAve That’s still false. She’s specifically talking about Warped when she brought up the issue around women. It’s only recent that more female bands started to play...so it’s pretty much fake news and biased assumptions.

Echo _360 What a dishonorable way to end Warped; It’s pathetic.

RAve Man, you’re really ignorant of the whole scene in general, and you’re defending Vice when they’re known to be biased and force their agenda when they dislike something. 2004, 2005 and 2006 were their biggest years. Paramore, a FEMALE band played that year, and they were huge. First off, they made huge money for a brief amount of time, it fluctuated during the years. Secondly, Keven started Warped because he worked at Lollapalooza and wasn’t a fan of the scene...he supported punk and wanted it to be heard. You don’t know shit.

Hoss Bonaventure CEO yea, man, all those years were rad. Wish I could’ve experienced those years :(

RAve I can’t read that shitty article unless I make an account. No thanks. Also, it is fucking “fake news”. The interviewer is obviously ignorant on the history of Warped. The community has always been small and there were very few female bands during the years.

W B Scott Sadly this isn’t 2012-14 Vice, which is around the “golden age”, where they had edgy camera shots and real stories to cover. And you had long-haired Shane running around trying not to get killed by warlords and communists.
4
Hoss Bonaventure CEO No, I know. I meant small venues...because I’m mostly into the emo/punk scene. But yea, it is sad.

icantfixthis Dude, they had Pennywise play Bro Hymn as the closing song for Warped. Punk bands were relevant through the late 90s and early 2000s, then the scene changed. It evolved to emo and pop punk. But they did occasionally have real “punk”, like NOFX and Joan Jett for instance.

Interesting View lol, just saying XD
2
Epic lol, it’s true. Look up the video...they were kicked off the stage because it was anarchy.
2
Interesting View In a dingy basement, backyards and cheap venues as he said. Where Punk was created, and therefore the tradition should be kept alive.

Anime Master Nah, there’s people who are still in that mentality in the way they think and dress. And bands have evolved the genre, still keeping that same tone and effectiveness :)
1
Anime Master So it’s not entirely dead, it’s just underground, which I don’t find bad at all.
1
Anime Master That sounds rad 🤙🏻 Maybe one day I’ll be able to experience a basement or backyard show.

Hoss Bonaventure CEO I was born in ‘94, so I was kinda late to the party, unfortunately. Other than that I could’ve went the years they were still going but I never had the money or transportation.
1
Hoss Bonaventure CEO lmao. Hey man, I’m hoping I get a ton of money through my work and then I can crash all the concerts I want XD

Hoss Bonaventure CEO I know all those punk bands except Amebix. That band sounds like a mix of punk and metal, it’s pretty cool. I basically listen to the same bands you listen to...I have different playlists of whatever mood I’m feeling (oh, and I have a Misfit shirt I wear often, lol). But currently Off With Their Heads came out with a new album and I’ve been listening to that since yesterday. It’s an emo punk band...they’re extremely relatable to me. Oh, and and the new album for Knocked Loose is really good, too.

@HossBonaventureCEO I see! I'll definitely continue to check them out. I've heard similar sounds before, but not specifically this band.
