Kirito Kun Again, you don't know me, you're nothing but an ignorant kid, probably 15 or 16. "Your "depresion" is a classic case of teenager attention sindrome." No, I'm not a teenager, and Iv'e had a lot of free time, other than going to school. I'm not a "weeaboo", you probably learned that term from FilthyFrank, and I'm not obsessed with Japanese culture.
That definition is from Urban dictionary, do you know how idiotic you are? Go look up the definition of Otaku, don't make me say it again. I'll humiliate you, and your stupidity, just use your brain this time.

Sean Dobbins Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is pretty much the new (and possibly better) AoT. And AoT is really bad, it's not even funny, even though the concept is interesting, the fundamentals aren't. Naruto remained popular for a long time because it was a long running show about Ninja's, memorable characters, and great fight scenes, but that's about it (Also, pure nostalgia, with other great Shounen shows at the time).
OPM is a fad, and there's not going to be a season 2 (most likely). You should read the manga or webcomic, it's still really entertaining, either way.

Nielspiels lmao, I'm not a fanatic with the series, I've read up to part 6 within a week, and that was 2 years ago. I don't recall every stand's name, and SP could beat them because of his time ability.
SP is OP anyway, such as the others you mentioned, they're basically too op in some aspects. And to the author, it's his favorite character in general, so he might think he's the most "powerful" stand in his opinion.
Lets be honest, there's a lot of stands that don't make sense (ability wise), and they're logically incorrect, but that's how Shounen is.

+Chrollo Lucilfer Okay, now you're being a pretentious prick. Any story include scenarios of Deus ex Machina, troupes, dialogue mishaps, and other conflicting story progression problems, that's a general statement regarding writing. Now, FMA brotherhood has some of those negative aspects, something the protagonist (Ed) somehow survives a deadly blow, and ends up conquering that scene, is a Deus ex Machina, and some other characters have also experienced some bullshit life-saving moment before death.

Chrollo Lucilfer So, you're saying 90+ would mean infinite? That doesn't even make sense, lol, 90+ wouldn't mean a copious amount of shows, in general, you'd say a higher number to identify the range of the potential number.
"Don't blame me that your a shut in weaboo Otaku and think your he kind of anime because you spent the larger portion of your life watching it."
Dude, it's you're* for fuck sake, learn the difference between You're and your, lmao
No, I'm not essential saying I'm an elitist, I'm implying you to stop being biased because of your mindset, your obsession of HxH has made you ignorant, ignoring the vast amount of anime that's out there. I stated before, I'm not a weaboo, don't be influnced by urban dictionary or Filthy Frank, by that pretentious and rude comment, I can see that you have angst, kid.
"And many people agree with me, notibal youtubers being Misty Chronexia who put it number 1 in his top 50 anime of all time."
YouTubers opinions don't mean shit, the definition of mainstream means:
the ideas, attitudes, or activities that are regarded as normal or conventional; the dominant trend in opinion, fashion, or the arts.
"And if you want to talk credibility, that mofucker has probably seen almost every anime. He is older then you are and has seen more anime, and he put HxH as #1. Its safe to say my #1 isn't a strecth by no.means."
Sorry to bust your bubble, but Iv'e seen all the "good" anime, your assumption is bullshit, you don't know me, kid.
1
-
1
-
Chrollo Lucilfer It's not an incorrect statement, you're clearly being ignorant.
"Don't blame me that your a shut in"
You said your, when it's you're*
"then you must not be to bright."
It's too* not to
"Misty Chronexia is not a 'mainstream anime YouTuber', so your argument doesnt hold up here so just stop."
I don't give a fuck who this person is, you can't make an assumption and say "he's watched almost every anime" where's the facts, you're spouting bullshit. Just because he's older than me, doesn't mean he's seen more...age is irrelevant. Anyway, like 90% of anime are bullshit, they're full of ecchi.
"The day I see a better anime then HxH i will gladly change my mind. But i have yet to do so, so you're in no position to contradict another persons opinion, especially when i have good reason to feel the way i feel."
How about watching more anime, then, that's a good start; believe me, when you get older, your opinion changes drastically on any visual medium.

Chrollo Lucilfer No, I did, go back and read my comments.
Where the fuck is my words...why aren't you quoting me. You keep saying I'm putting "words in your mouth", but you're doing it to me, and Iv'e proved it with your words, dipshit.
I believe OP is better in terms of story and character development or their individual backstories. There's way more interesting sub plots and characters than HxH. Also, what about Yu Yu Hakusho? Why not compare those two instead, they're pretty similar with certain events and characters.
'Until you do so with validity your the one looking stupid for saying all this irrelevant shit, putting words in my mouth, and getting educated by an adolescent."
No, iv'e already validated myself, Iv'e stated you were being biased on your "perfect" viewpoints. Why does HxH deserve to be in your #1 spot? Because you've been mimicking another persons opinion, do you have an independent mind, I don't think so, lol. HxH has some boring arcs, here's to name a couple, and why...
Heavens Arena arc: Both Gon and Killua are fighting opponents nonstop to get to the top, quickly. Repetitive fights throughout the arc, not much story progression, but it's used for the "training" cliche, to identify their "power specialty's ". Then you've got your predictable climax/boss end match, which is Hisoka. Yep, nothing interesting happening, besides getting "stronger troupe".
Greed Island arc: The game arc where both Gon and Killua have to collect enough cards...boring. This is used for another "training exercise", to continue their growth for physical/spiritual power. At then end, another "boss", except this time, Hisoka is on their team, to help them win the final game. A similar setup to the other arc.

+Zen Razor that's true, except Draven can't die, lol. Someone would end up half dead, or worse. I mean, isn't Draven also unpredictable, he can't fight or use weapons...even more of an amateur. And again, Batman doesn't kill, he could easily kill the Joker, anytime. I would believe they would be equal strength, but Draven would win...cause of immortality, which Joker wouldn't realize.

Zen Razor Yea, everyone talks about Alucard (Hellsing/Hellsing Ultimate), but Vampire Hunter D was the original OP vampire slayer.
Of course, dude, Iv'e seen every anime, and read almost every manga out there. I grew up watching Inuyasha, DBZ, FMA, and other 90's Shonen series. Death Note didn't come until later on, though, but the only series I haven't seen is Gundam...I'm too lazy to put in effort to watch it, lol. So, Iv'e read Devilman (also seen the OVA) and It's pretty cool, there's also a crossover between Cyborg 009 VS Devilman (it's pretty recent, should watch that, too). There's other spin offs the author did after the original Devilman, though, they're decent in comparison.
Yea, Tezuka is an actual surgeon, he went to medical school and even became a licensed physician, but he devoted his time towards manga. And this lead to him devoting his medical knowledge to manga, that's why Black Jack was so prevalent, too. Black Jack has a variety amount of shows....(In watching order):
1. Black Jack (TV) (based on the original manga, but reading the manga is faster and better, imo). 61 episodes
2. Black Jack (sub) 12 episodes (really good)
3.Black Jack 21 (sub) (No direct relation to the manga, but pretty good).
4. Young Black Jack (sub) (Not by Tezuka, but just as awesome as number two).
1
-
Zen Razor Yea, Death Note is pretty rad.
GITS is pretty cool, didn't really like the movie(s), the protagonist is boring, but the Sci-Fi/cyberpunk setting is awesome. It's weird, because the manga of GITS has a totally different tone, it's comedic and more conversational. I think I'd prefer Akira, the best Sci-Fi animated movie, ever, imo, and the manga is a masterpiece (the movie is weak compared to the manga).
There's the original Berserk anime that came out in the late 90's, which is pretty good. And then there's the Berserk movies that are trash because it's 3D CGI, like the new show (Japan cannot do 3D CGI). You should read the manga if you're interested in Berserk (It's worth it), and there's also the prototype you could read, before beginning the series.
You should, dude, and if you like it, you could watch Young Black Jack. Don't like either Ragnarok or Fruit Basket, just my preference.
Yea, I tried watching Monster (one of the most coherent shows out there), but it didn't intrigue me, but Iv'e read the authors other work: Pluto (Tezuka collaboration) and 21st Century Boys.

EmpyreanMAULER Dude, The movie of Akira is a joke compared to the manga, that shit is a masterpiece. Gantz is really good too, a lot of awesome messed up scenes, probably on Berserk level. You have to read Claymore, it's really awesome! Yea, read my manga list online, it's faster than buying it.
Also, All you need is Kill (manga), is based on a Light novel, but it's pretty accurate, There's also a live action movie.

Yea, it's more about the inhuman atrocities that make you think: How evil can you possibly be?
Hostel isn't scary, more of an awesome gore movie, I'd say. I'd take that kind of "special effects" (props and makeup) than shitty CGI. I think you're contradicting yourself, dude, because the movies you mentioned: The Thing, Halloween, and Alien all have gore, but they include the horror atmospheric aspects into it, which includes the music, suspense, and emotional response when someone dies from the monster/alien. By today standards, "horror" isn't about monsters, now it's just ghost/specters that have no real impact on anything....
1
-
Well, it sounded like you didn't like gore, lol, it's really not that bad, the human body is the most intriguing when the interior is exposed. I think the opposite, the gore adds to the realism, without it, they wouldn't be the same.
"They don't want smart horror like Alien they want dumb horror like Hostel and Serbian Film."
No, they want something like Paranormal activity or The conjuring, look at all the generic shitty horror movies these days...they're all ghost movies; Eli Roth is one of the few horror/gore enthusiast of the 21st century, and the same goes for Quentin Tarantino, with his gore/feet fetish, lol
1
-
+Spazlan Saw doesn't count, they can't be taken seriously. Eli Roth has Hostel and The Green Inferno that are decent gore movies with a plot.
"Tarantino on the other hand has the right balance of gore in his movies and adapts the gore according to the story."
Lol no he doesn't. There's excessive gore in the Kill Bill movies, especially in the first movie with the "samurai fights".
"A story, well written characters and good character development. Unlike most ghost horrors The Conjuring takes its time to introduce us and get acquainted with the characters."
Yes, that's one of the best paranormal films in recent years, but most of them are garbage...my point still stands.
"I have also seen many movies about human atrocities that make me think how evil can people possible be without relying on gore to get it's point across. The Pianist, Tyrannosaur and This Is England just to name a few."
My bad, I didn't see this part of your comment. Those aren't the same compared to Serbian Film, 120 days of Sodom, or even the french movie Irreversible with the "rape scene". These movies are controversial for a reason: They show inhuman acts that are supposed to be revolting in every way to make you feel sick. The movies you mentioned don't go that far, but these movies are "underground" to show you how dark humanity can be.
1
-
1
-
+Spazlan It's not the right "balance", it's just too ridiculous to taken seriously, more like a parody of a "sword fight" scene. The exaggeration of light red blood and the shitty sword fighting is beyond pathetic. Honestly, it's comparable to the original Matrix and how cheesy it was with the fight scenes.
"Neither could the Hostel movies or The Green Inferno, the plot in those movies is little to non at all. Also if you realized I said every Saw movie after the first one is shit."
The plot in those movies were realistic, and Green Inferno was a sequel to Cannibal Holocaust, it had a ton of better aspects; The animal cruelty in Cannibal Holocaust is a disgrace, that already puts down way more than Green Inferno. Sure, it had a ton of troupes, stereotypical white people, and the dialogue was utter garbage, but imo, it's better. So, fuck the reviewers and critics at Rotten Tomato, like they know anything about movies.
The original saw was decent, but the acting was garbage, they weren't even legit actors. The director is trash, along with his repetitive shitty concept that never ends.
"You don't need to actually see things to make you feel sick, just hearing about them can be worse."
Sure, sometimes words have more impact than actions, but seeing and hearing the screams of complete despair is a different than hearing about the situation.
"I have a feeling you are one of these people that just like excessive gore, there is nothing wrong with that, it's just I have higher standards when watching movies."
Nah, dude, substance is way more important than pure gore, I'm just implying that they're not that bad, and give you realistic scenarios that happen (or could) in real life. I only read/watch the best of the best, I would never put those movies in my standards of my favorite movies.
1
-
+Spazlan James Wan was the executive producer for all the Saw movies, and he's writing the new movie: Saw: Legacy. He also wrote Saw 3, so it's not the studios fault if he keeps writing the movies. Money (and idiotic people) is what keep these movies going, same with Furious 7, another repetitive movie franchise...which he also directed. The actors from Saw are not "respectable actors", Danny Glover is only known for Lethal Weapon and The color Purple, and most of his other movies are shit, more like a B rated actor. Cary Elwes has The Princess Bride that's a classic kids movie from the 80's, that's it. Micheal Emerson is only known for Lost, and his other shitty show appearances. Dude, you really have low standards when it comes to "respectable actors".
"That's exactly my point, and the point I was making about Tarantino adapting his gore to the story and situation of the movie."
That has nothing to do with how bad the fight scene was, the use of gore was wasted, looking like a low budget fight scene that's not aging well.
"Not all the time, more often the case is less is more. Alien proves this, especially with Lambert found hanging in the chains, all we see is her bloody foot and the expression on Ripley's face says it all."
Most of the time it works, showing the scene is supposed to make you shocked by the outcome. For example, the Xenomorph scene is a perfect use of gore.
Dude, you didn't even watch Serbian Film, so you can't really judge it. Tbh, the movies is shit, but it does have a realistic interpretation of how there's some sick porn in the world. Hostel and Green Inferno do have a plot, it's not like Caligula, where most of the movie is an erotic porn. These movies do have some meaningful messages: don't trust anyone while traveling...is the moral of the "story".
"There is portraying the evils of men and then there is the downright sick."
"The evils of men"....more like the "evils of humanity", as Iv'e said, history proves it.
1
-
+Spazlan "Agreed, but he has only directed one entry in the Fast and Furious series to my knowledge."
Yes, but the movie and the franchise are still bad, lol
"I should have worded that better, no they are not the best actors but they are not the worst either, they were better than the actors in either Hostel and The Green Inferno. My standards are quite high when it comes to respectable actors."
Yea, for sure.
"That scene was meant to look bad, as it was a tribute to 1970's exploitation movies."
I know, but I think the first part, the choreographed fight scenes were much better than the Samurai scene...it looked more "real", anyway.
Lol, I know tons of people who have seen the movie, you shouldn't be calling them "sick" or "twisted", people are curious to see the brutal scenes, it's human nature.
"When I said the evils of men I meant humanity as a whole and yes history proves it, but these stories need to be told in a respectable way and not just turn them into a gore fest."
I think you meant "evils of man", which means "mankind". The term "respectable" is something not all movies have to abide by....
"Your fascination of gore worries me. It sounds like you focus on it too much above everything else because that's all you seem to be interested in. That and how realistic it looks."
Dude, you're overreacting, Iv'e seen worse, and so have many people when they explore the deep web. Also, I disagree, I think realism plays a huge part when you're using facts or logic in your story; I don't think you've read any good Seinen manga, based on your strong opinion, lol

+Arman Omi How is that stupid? I gave an example of an anime and said it had great animation, besides Kino.
"You just said that the animation isn't amazing, but I still have to appreciate it?"
lol, I never said that, dude, stop with the bullshit; I said it's not as detailed as Mushishi or Mononoke.
"Its brcause I've seen other anime with great visuals & animation that I can say that I didn't appreciate the animation of Kino no Tabi."
Examples?
"Ofcourse the overall feel the visuals give and the visual direction is good, but in the end, the actual animators need to do a good job for me to appreciate it. Anime like Gits(movie),cowboy bebop aren't beautiful just because they have great directors, animation ditectors in their hands, but also because it has a really talented team of animators behind it.
When all those elements are present,I can truly call it a really beautiful show & appreciate it."
I think the director (Ryûtarô Nakamura) does a great job adapting the light novel. His other works, such as: Serial Experiments Lain and Ghost Hound capture the essence of the atmospheric vibe, just like Kino. First off, you can't compare studios, they're too different in expertise and in quantity; Cowboy Bebop was made by the animation studio: Sunrise. Sources:
http://www.sunrise-inc.co.jp/international/company/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunrise_(company)
And, this is the source for the studio that made Kino: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A.C.G.T
Second off, that studio has a limited amount of shows, compared to the giant studio, Sunrise...so of course quality will be efficient, in comparison.
third off, GITS was an anime movie that was made by another big studio (Production I.G) and had a great director to achieve such praise and attraction, as one of the best sci-fi animated movies.
