I live in the US and there's censors on almost everything. As a historian, Japan has always made me in awe in their craftsmanship and for pushing the boundaries with their themes and art. I truly respect them the most.

The underground scene is truly inspirational! Seinen is most definitely my favorite genre that I live by. It’s literally what defined my philosophy and art.

Rape in manga is extremely common. I agree with your comment, but it's art. Mangaka who do Seinen (adult demographic) have very dark minds, so they express themselves like this because of society standards, meaning they're very dysfunctional. I'm a comic and animation expert, and I support these works especially in a time when art is being limited and censored. I've been working on my comics a little over a year now, and I would like explore darker themes as I become more confident in my art and mind.

Hey! If you like his art, the anime movie is on YouTube, it’s called Legend of the Overfiend.

Hentai is very interesting because anything can happen. In general, Japan has always been advanced for their manga and anime, they've pushed the boundaries of where nobody else would go. As a historian in those fields, I have the utmost respect for them.

No it’s not. Before Berserk, Miura was doing 80s shoujo manga. I’m a historian in comics and animation, and I wouldn’t include Berserk in the obscurity of the underground scene. I’d say Devilman was one of the leading works for pushing the limits of art, and before that was Gekiga (a genre for adults).

Me too! As a historian, I respect Japanese manga and anime the most! Truly Advanced and creative. Seinen definitely influenced me in my philosophy and art. I’ve been drawing comics a little over a year now, and I can’t stop! I hope you continue on your journey too :)
