  3. Arrowsun Again, please stop saying “we”, like you’re the representative for all teachers of this country, when you’re spreading a false narrative on the entire school system. Every state has their own budgets and policies when it comes to teaching (public and charter schools also function differently). I live in New Jersey, which is one of the best states for education, yet I say otherwise, because my experiences weren’t as positive. No, you may work hard, but this doesn’t apply to all teachers. You teach with formulaic textbooks, and follow a certain curriculum, which most teachers obey. You’re certainly not self-aware of the school system if you’re being this optimistic about your occupation. If you’re a teacher, I highly suggest you educate yourself by doing research online, and get a better perspective on how the school system works, overall.

  5. ILLUSIVE SUSPECT I’m pretty sure “keeping children safe” means exactly that. The OP is talking of a fantasy, and I’m trying to educate them that they’re generalizing the school system. Of course, that’s exactly what I’m saying, lol, I think you’re the one who is confused.

  6. Arrowsun Having a small budget is not “fine”, when education in the US shouldn’t be on the bottom of the list when it comes to human rights; being in debt after college is not fine, either. Having propaganda in history books also shows how desperate the US is, and I’d know since I vividly remember reading from them (history was my favorite subject). I have a BA in Art, and took many art history classes that showed the same teaching methods, especially the textbooks that showed mostly European art, excluding the rest of the world. I had to self-educate myself to learn all the major details the school system ignored, or didn’t want us to know. Therefore, most of my time in school was wasted...and I’m debt. I don’t think you should be so proud of a nation that doesn’t support education and only values the wealthy. You really need to do research on this, it’s important.

  9. Kenny TheCritic I didn’t get in a lot of debt because of college. Never make assumptions. That’s why I went to a community college first to get my associates. I did indeed provide the facts, which should be common sense that education in the US isn’t a priority, and it’s not a human right to many standards. I wrote big paragraphs and you obviously didn’t comprehend the importance of what I wrote. I have no idea what “common core” means? It has nothing to do with high school, it has to do with the overall education system. You sound very uneducated in this topic, especially when articulating.

  10. Kenny TheCritic Nope, never heard of it. You keep saying that when all you’ve done is criticize me when I’ve made many logical points. You seem very credible in your argument, lol. Evidence of what? Why are you being vague when you can easily quote what I said? I’ve already said I’m from New Jersey, which is one of the top states for education. Schooling in general is boring and teaches many redundant classes. Have you been to college? I gave examples of my experiences in college. What more evidence are you interested in? I’ve graduated college almost 2 years ago, and I’ve self-educated myself in many subjects, including history, which I now consider myself a historian because of the hundreds of hours of reading I’ve done in my free time after I graduated. And that’s only one subject of many where I’m an expert in. Doing research on the internet makes college look like a joke. But hey, it’s useful for some majors, I’m just expressing my experience in an environment I thought was dull and fascist.

  11. Kenny TheCritic It’s not hard to find but clearly the education system is still garbage...so obviously it’s redundant. Cite what? My experiences with the education system? College tuition? I can’t help you if you won’t accept an underfunded system that only cares about private entities and wealthy individuals. Of course it’s partly about me? I’ve explained why the system isn’t good and how it reflected my schooling. It seems to me that you have nothing to offer than to talk positive about a system that is unorganized and pathetic.
