  1. That's not true at all. What held marriage together in the first place was religion. Now that religion is declining in younger generations, people have more freedom to do what they want.

  4. David Snow I disagree. I’m assuming you don’t how strict religious principles are about marriage and how it views women as inferior, so it actually causes more tolerance to domestic violence. Happiness in general is subjective anyway.
