  1. So at the interview the son is invited to discuss his mothers deaths case, and he goes on talking about himself at length and his money and stipends, his future plans and so on. Trying to distance himself as much as possible from the killing of his mom. As if he thinks the investigator would care about his future education and work plans. :)

  3. From the first 2 minutes the son acts suspicious. Doesn't ask any questions about his mothers death, but is eager to say "thankyou" to the officer several times, and "have a wonderful day"?? This shows he wants to ingratiate himself and get on the good side of the police. Always a big read flag, besides showing no real emotion from the start.
