Always good to listen to a resource you can trust - the voice of sanity! No clickbait, no BS, just facts. Keep it up, Sal!

@sheflashedus246 Actually no, salt water doesn't harm the eco system. Not as much as a raging fire, anyway. As was pointed out in the video.

Trump believes in "give and take" - so long as he's doing the taking.
5
Or the spelling of "pronunciation"?
4
Fixing anything is easy if you're prepared to throw enough money at it ..... Or find cheap labour to do it.
3
Educate me please: what are mineweepers made of?
3
@superior451 Hope the App still works when the cellphone masts have burned to the ground.
3
If you're recording with your phone, please use landscape - eyes are horizontal, not vertical! The rest of your videos are really good to watch.
3
One of them is orange ....
3
And the people doing the insulting are usually displaying their own ignorance and'/or stupidity., Wish I was as "stupid" as Sal with his vast knowledge and experience.
2
He must have found a lower ranked scapegoat to take the rap?
2
He'll make 'em pay for the bone, too!
2
Every industry has its share of incompetent people. Even presidents.
2
@flyingsword135 A bit of confusion between "need" and "want" there! 🙂
2
But only on shipping matters. Specialists will always outperform generalists.
2
HIndsight is a very exact science.
2
@victorcapel2755 Thanks for the explanation - makes perfect sense!
2
@sheflashedus246 You can compare anything to anything else - though some comparisons are ridiculous and may not have any similarities.
2
That reminded me of an IBM ad back in the 1970s(?) which claimed that a digger would replace 100 workers with shovels. And then said those shovels would replace 100 workers with spoons. Thanks for the memory!
2
Sal is so engaging I think I'd watch him reading a phone book! (Okay, a bit extreme, as there's no plot but a cast of thousands!)
2
"so long" is a phrase the English sometimes use to mean "goodbye". Coincidence?
2
More accurately you don't get what you don't pay for. Just because something is expensive doesn't automatically mean it's going to be good.
2
@arcdecibel9986 Yeah, a bit like putting punitive tariffs on imports - it's the customers who'll pay, not the companies sendng the goods over.
2
The election isn't between two old white men, one of them is orange! But I don't envy you your choices.
2
Russian black ops to cast suspicion on Ukraine? And they can claim the insurance!
1
I've never done stage 4 in my life! What am I doing wrong?
1
@MrRugbylane From other videos I've seen on this channel, the anchored vessel will likely be culpable for "being in the way", too. Marine insurance is crazy.
1
I hope you don't think Europe will welcome them with open arms if there's a war going on on its doorstep, solely because their president is a weak Putin boyfriend.
1
Yeah, Russia only does war on its own doorstep. But it wants that doorstep to keep moving out.
1
But he does like screwing workers and cosying up to business leaders. Oh, and dictators - he loves them!
1
Trump's claim to reduce prices for "ordinary people" hasn't got off to a good start, eh? His theory that people should buy American goods instead of Chinese imports overlooks the fact that US workers won't work for the low wgaes that Chinese workers will. Chinese goods will probably undercut US-made goods even with massive tariffs. Of course, that's assuming that Trump cares about "ordinary people", which evidence doesn't always show to be the case, remember his campaign cry? "I don't care about you, I just want your vote."
1
@halhansen778 Using your logic, the answer couldn't be Trump either since he apparently knows little about how to run a business, let alone a country (remember he managed to own and bankrupt 3 (count 'em) casinos). And now he thinks that cutting USAID is a good thing because, presumably, he wants China and Russia to fill the void and increase their influence in the world that the USA once had. Not really the way to make American great again, is it? And the USAID budget is tiny, less than 1% of the total. Musk only wants it shut down because it spoiled his privileged racist life druring his upbringing in South Africa. How rational.

EV batteries generate their own oxygen so pumping air out would make no difference. Works fine for ICEVs, of course, which are bad for the planet.
1
Not many seasoned mariners work for the BBC, though.
1
Would the stopcocks survie the fire, or is there a danger that they'd burn our and release water anyway? Obviously it'd slow things down compared to leaving appliances with water, but ....
1
Jusr descriptive, not an indication of its importance. And one of them is orange, not white.
1
But if Trump stops imports (as he claims he wants to), there'll be no ships for workers to unload.
1
Sal, you say you think we watch the content because it's interesting rather than you as an interesting person. A question: who chooses the interesting content? Enough said! Keep up the excellent work! And happy holidays (assuming you have time for them!).
1
Or Russian sabotage to throw suspicion at Ukraine?
1
Old Father Time will sort it out eventually.
1
Greed isn't limited to the workers, though.
1
You really don't get irony, do you?
1
And suing the Uber passenger!
1
Surely there are two sides to the border and Trump claimed he'd "fix" it. Now he seems to want Canada and Mexico to do the job for him? Isn't he man enough to do it himself? And I wish people wouldn't keep perpetuating the myth that his election victory was "overwhelming" - it was closer than Biden's 2020 victory, and that wasn't overwhelming apparently.
1
And was it "ever given" by a viewer? 🙂
1
Have you never read about car drivers following their satnav into a field or a river?
1
I do - it seems rude not to after Sal has gone to so much trouble to create it.
1
It seems to me that the Trump administration is just trying to ensure a level playing field for the US economy, level with Russia's. What could possibly go wrong?
1
Why not ask to explain "two OLD white MEN"?
