@traumflug Except their officers will shoot them in the back if they try to surrender .... So not always that easy.

@lagmonster7789 And Americans are famous for their quirky pronunciations. 🙂 Look at how inconsistently they struggle with "Nike" and "Porsche".

They need the right sort of leaders to achiave that reinvention, though. Not much sign of them so far, alas.

If God was worthy of glory, Putin wouldn't exist. Creator of all things, remember?
1
I didn't want to watch, but was their choice to be killed by Ukrainians, or by their own officers?
1
Er, apparently you can if you insist on calling it "fake news".
1
It'd help if the Russians thought once about what they're doing. But thinking has rather been trained out of them.
1
You seem to define "damage" as "light damage, easily repaired". Damage can be irreparable too. Or indeed at the bottom of the sea.

He's just moved house - give him a chance! What's the priority - the flag or more videos? (I know they're both important.)
1
You'd prefer they were just fined the value of their cars? Same result. Driving drunk is disgraceful and cause misery to families of their victims. Or maybe you think reckless and irresponsible behaviour shouldn't be punished?

@embreis2257 Me calm down? Your post was way more "over the top" than mine. I've certainly read of people's cars being confiscated and even crushed for serious drink-driving offences. And a good thing too.
1
@embreis2257 In the UK driving without insurance can result in your vehicle being seized and even destroyed. Now, if you're convicted of drink drinking you're in breach of the terms of your insurance so would technically be driving without insurance, hence you could lose your car.
1
@embreis2257 Is that UK law? AIUI courts can issue a disposal order for serious offences (for the car, not the perpetrator). No seven days for that one. Still, you clearly have more sympathy for law breakers who cause death and injury than I do.
1
@embreis2257 My logic has some serious faults? Hahahaha.
1
@embreis2257 Wow! That's a whole new tangent. And completely irrelevant to the discussion. Why are you asking that? (That's a rhetorical question, BTW, I'm fed up with this.)
1
@embreis2257 TRuth hurts, eh? 🙂
1
The prison staff are as much prisoners there as the prisoners. I wonder what they did to get that postng?
1
The opposite - hell is supposed to be a hot place!
1
"loosing" and "losing" have very different meanings, although the outcome may be the same in many situations.
1
Also remind them that 90% of Ukraine aid is actually spent in America, providing jobs restocking military supplies. So any cries of "corruption" isn't a good look for politicians and US arms manufacturers .... Just sayin'.
1
If Latvian law says you will be deprived of your car if you're caught driving while drunk, it's a risk that people take. If you've had relatives killed or injured by reckless drink-drivers you may be less sympathetic to them. People should pay for their crimes, it's called personal responsibility.
1
Because they're in Russia?
1
Well it is damaged. "Damaged beyond repair (and underwater!)" is still damage. It's a question of scale. 🙂
1
You have a strange idea of what "choice" means to a Russian.
1
And ensuring Finland and Swden didn't join NATO?
