  2. They're not losing " so much ground" - the Russians are "winning" fields of low value while Ukraine is avoiding needless casualties protecting areas of low strategic worth. And the Russians are losing thousands of men per field taken, which is hardly a winning tactic.

  16. It's more that Ukraine is preserving its forces rather than losing them in pointless defence positions. Ukraine cares about its people.
