  1. I bet anything that the real story behind this unhinged wall of text is that your ramp isn’t up to code, isn’t permitted with the town, and wasn’t approved by the HOA. It would be illegal for any of those parties to refuse to allow any ramp, but they are allowed to set reasonable restrictions on what is allowed. You fucked around with a DIY ramp and you found out. I’m not entirely unsympathetic, but there’s just no way you’re telling the whole story here. You’d have the same issue living in any suburb where building codes are enforced. Your issue here is that you didn’t buy in a rural area where no one cares what you build on your land.

  2. They don’t monopolize the land, any more than a single family zoned plot of land does. The whole reason HOAs are built is because defunded local govt wants to offload infrastructure costs onto a private entity.
