  1. Rent is the main expense bleeding them dry. Labor being a significant cost? Give me a break! They’re paying a worker the price of one salad per hour. They always have lines out the door. But you gotta sell a lot of salad to pay some parasite landlord $20k a month for those downtown locations. Landlords are killing American cities. Even $15 salads can’t pay the rent.
