  1. This is organized crime. Feds and 70 police departments took down one mob behind it 2 years ago, but it’s a great racket, so five more popped up in their place. Big game of whack a mole. Scrapyards are used as their fences because it’s convenient, and they destroy the evidence for them. The mob moves the cats across state lines so they’re only dumping a couple at a time, not establishing a pattern. If scrapyards didn’t take cats, this would be an environmental disaster, it would make cats even more expensive, and it wouldn’t even work. The cat mafia would just sell them to shady mechanics, set up front businesses themselves, or smuggle them into Mexican scrap yards.

  2. Remind me which presidential candidate’s Organization committed enough crimes to be permanently banned from NY. Remind me who was president when this organized car theft racket took off. Maybe voting for Mafia Don is why organized crime is booming like never before.
