  1. A nation of 9 million had 800 innocent civilians slaughtered by terrorists (and counting). It's not 9/11. It's an order of magnitude worse than that. Hamas isn't the PIRA either. The PIRA didn't shoot up british concerts. They bombed targets of economic or governmental importance. They didn't shoot up concerts, where the only value is in murdering civilians. The Omagh bombing by dissident Republicans is somewhat similar in its brutality, but Gaza is a terrorist state, run by terrorists. Dissident republicans didn't run anything but drugs. Nothing but a bunch of degen gangsters, not a government of a quasi-state of 2 million people. Also, in the 30 years of the Troubles, the IRA is estimated to have killed 2000 people. Hamas has gotten nearly half their 30 year body count in a weekend. Because of course they did -- it's a government doing war crimes, not relatively disorganized rebels. The situation that's analogous here is Mosul or Aleppo being taken over by ISIS. Hamas is using the same tactics as ISIS. It's disturbing that this isn't obvious to everyone to see, that political commentators aren't thinking before speaking their knee-jerk reaction. You can find videos of the heinous crimes Hamas has committed. Like ISIS, they uploaded videos of all of it. Videos of Hamas shooting up a music festival, videos of Hamas dragging Israeli corpses through a city to cheering crowds... They're proud of what they've done. This is like blaming French colonialism for the Bataclan massacre...

  2. How a health insurer hasn’t been taken down by the RICO Act is beyond me. Health insurance is the largest racket to have ever existed. It makes the mafia look downright adorable by comparison.

  3. This is the economics equivalent of reading tarot cards. Most of your lookback period here is from when the U.S. was on the gold standard. Inflation was relatively low 2013-2019 and 1966-1972. Then inflation spiked a bit. That’s all. Theres no reason to believe the second spike of inflation will (or won’t) repeat. The idea that another oil crisis will cause it is ridiculous. The U.S. is a net exporter of oil these days and we have alternative energy sources. That was not the case in 1973. The inflation shock this time around would be trade wars (they’re sooo easy to win).
