  1. Flip a coin. Heads: Einstein is as prolific as Terry Tao is today. Impressive by any standard, but the Einsteins and Eulers have already taken the low hanging fruit. Great man theory of scientific research is dead. Tails: Einstein is a NEET who plays LoL 18 hours a day. TBH it’s probably a weighted coin heavily favoring tails.

  2. @Sasori.OfTheRedSand Modern society has little use for people like Newton. He’d probably be on the brink of homelessness, stuck as an adjunct professor for 20 years. But then again, without the heavy metal poisoning, maybe he’d be as prolific as Stephen Hawking.
