  43. The Mazda 787b was never banned, that is merely a false urban myth. Mazda announced in 1990 that it would retire the slow and very uncompetitive 787b after the end of the 1991 season. The FIA never banned the 787b or the Wankel engine...

The Failure of the RX-8 required the Japanese Government to step in a guarantee $3 BILLION dollars in loans to bailout Mazda... Mazda board voted to end further development and production of Wankel engines as part of it recovery plan. Just the facts here... your lack of factual knowledge makes your argument weak.
