I am African American and the first 3 people I got to know in London were all from Salford hence my honorary title I have been to Lower Broughton and other places around Manchester a coupla times. I could have done with a phrasebook! On a typical drive in Manchester everyone is white for a few minutes then everyone is brown for a few minutes with a few black people dotted about. London is very different. Like a different country. Checking out Birmingham next week.
