It was Rough Times in Houston...Real Rough Times in the Hoods, the Hot Muggy Weather in the Summer, the Alcohol Talking, Poverty, Unemployed Black Men, Half who were Vietnam Vets who went South, Ex Cons who did Time in Huntsville, or Mental Problems & Homeless on the Streets, Brothers were Getting Murdered on the Streets of Houston & Houston Cops did Very Little to Solve those Murders back then, as they do Today & Houston Detectives are Short Handed, the City has Grown in Population to Nearly 2 & Half Million People & Not Enough Cops to Patrol a City thats about 700 Square Miles.
Face it Houston Residents...Houston is Broken!😡

I live in L.A. Houston is half the Size of L.A. our Freeway System here in L.A. is Still King, Houston is suppose to be Behind L.A. in it's Freeway System , Houston has around 35 to 40 Miles in Rail & over a 1000 Busses, L.A. has Just over a 100 Miles in Rail & over 2000 Busses, Houston has no Commuter Rail, L.A
Does, Houston doesn't have Zoning Laws, L.A
Does, L.A. has More Cops, Houston Doesn't, Houston's Fire Department is Screwed up, L.A's isn't.
& There are more Comparisons that Houston & L.A. Do or Don't Have, like Square Mile Size & No State Income Taxes, for Houston & for Texas, but Still Houston is Growing & Planners aren't Really looking at the Big Picture on how to Plan For Houston's Future Growth.
