  2. My 2 sisters & I were 3 of those kids in the early 1960s who learned in elementary school to duck & cover. But the reason the principal gave was tornadoes & hurricanes. Not nuclear war.

  3. Kyle: I appreciate your eloquence & your enthusiasm. Chernobyl however has shown us that the Earth and it's animal life are resilient. Humans also might become feral but the human race would survive. It would not be doom & gloom. It would not be pleasant. But it would not be the end.

  4. Kyle: Up until your last sentence I loved the eloquence of all your words especially "the weight of a butterfly"! But you're last sentence is a fools contrast to eloquence. Whatever nation does NOT have nuclear weapons is a slave to those who do. And Americans (at least the non-Hippy majority) do not want to become slaves
