In 1997, HK was 25% of China's GDP and today they are 4%. They have now become the #2 economy. These are the facts. In the mean time, in the US all the tax cut and wage stagnation more and more people fell into poverty. It has been years since US last raised the min wage. This is why there is a push for living wages. Putting your head in the sand will not change the fact.

But when protest and riot happened on their own soil, they did the opposite. The called them thugs and beat the protesters. They passed a law forbidding the sales of tear gas to HK saying tear gas should not be used. But guess what, they used tear gas and rubber bullet to clear the square so Trump can have a photo op. He asked China not to send in PLA. But he sent in the National guards. Seattle banned the use of tear gas and leave the protesters alone. Seattle mayor even joined the protest. Trump threatened WA. He said if the governor does not put a stop to it, he will send in the troops. That's the hypocrisy he is talking about. It is not only Trump, it is Pompeo, Cruz, Rubio, and Tom cotton. Barr is trying to distant himself but he ordered the troops.

  10. You got it backward. In the beginning they were doing protest HK style. Blocking traffic setting fire. That did not go too well. The protest is largely peaceful now. In HK , they killed three people. One they set on fire and another was killed by a rioter with a manhole cover. They also used sling shot arrows, laser and petrol bomb to attack the police. There is no comparison. Possession of petrol bomb in US is a 30 years offense. In Hk, a kid get only a two month sentence because he apologize to the police. These are basically spoiled brat.

The witnesses included Joshua Wong funded by Freedom house, Civic Party and the Democratic party both funded by NDI. The evidence is on their website in their annual report. There are more but with circumstance evidence. The police raided a warehouse full of explosive , weapons and large amount of cash. The warehouse was rented by a now illegal party, Localist. And they too were funded by NDI. So you see it's more than double standard.

Police was stabbed, shot by arrow, one person bit off the finger of an officer. The HK rioters are much more violent than the US. One question no one is able to answer.
