@Jerry Why do they want to spread it to everybody? If so, they can just do nothing. The last epidemic of H1N1 originated from the US. The US government didn't do anything. No quarantine of city, nothing. The latest revision is it cause over 100K death worldwide. However, the fatality drop to 0.2% because of the larger unreported cases. This is the same rate of regular flu. Corona virus's number is 2% right now similar to H1N1 in the beginning. If there is a larger number of unreported cases, then the fatality rate will drop. As a comparison, SARS has a fatality rate of 7%. I think the media is blowing it all out of proportion, Compared to H1N1, at least the government here is trying. This is the time to help not to point finger.

It is not a China issue, It is a world health issue.

@MrShaiya96 Agreed. We need everyone to cooperate or we'll be in big trouble.

@ktkska8886 Was H1N1 a world issue? Was Ebola a world issue? Virus does not have a border or political agenda. Don't let your hatred cloud your thinking.

@Typhoon_Lex more fake news please.

SARS has a 7% fatality rate and Corona 2%. The last time SARS happened, the HKers were united in fighting the disease. This time people are pointing finger at each other.

Miss Liberty Bella Are you sure? I read there is a team from WHO in Wuhan. As far as I know only US have offered to help. China is not going to let them in because of mistrust. Taiwan refused to send any supply to China because they said they don't have enough themselves. Most countries are just evacuating their own citizens. Nothing from UK, Australia or the EU. I thibk Japan helped and China thanked them publicly.

@smileofyerin I remember during SARS people escaped from their quarantine. It is people's nature. Hey, I feel OK I must be OK without understanding they can be a carrier. Education, more education. I don't live in HK. Can you guys tell me how much information is the government giving to the people on this disease. I mean information not propaganda.

There is still a quarantine even if the airport is open.

@taozhiyaoyaokkk yup, if you can't unite to fight a common enemy, you're doomed.

Please tell that to the US trade negotiators. US is the only country insisted China is a developed country.

@kutkutization I read it from the CDC web site. First case was found in the US in April 2009.

@Guesswhokk You cannot be serious. That does not make sense. Virus does not travel only by land. HKers cannot be that incompetent.
