Because they are idiots.

The tax payers want the roads to be opened, working traffic light, ambulance services and Metro to be running.
4
Maybe because they busted 11 of their storage, confiscated weapons including gun and arrested 11 people, the night before.

The 5 demands is demanding to have no accountability. How is this not a riot? And why are HK rioters above the law?
3
@whoulukingat Why can't you do it peacefully even without approval? Martin Luther King did it.
2
@whoulukingat You are delusional. Before the last election, the pro government has a 3 to one advantage and owned all the districts. Now, the pan-dem won 17 of 18 seats. Before the Nathan Law incident, pan dem has a majority in the geographic constituency and has veto power. Yes, they could have veto the extradition bill, but instead they instigated riot. After that they lost 2 of 4 seats and lost the majority. So you see, it is not the Chinese government it is the people. Don't be like Trump, if I win it is the will of the people and if I don't it is voter fraud.
2
@whoulukingat So now you believe there is democracy in HK?
2
@whoulukingat Well, I do not think I misread you. You are saying China controlled the whole HK government. But now you are happy with the result. The result showed there is democracy in HK and China is not in control. So I just want to confirm you believe there is democracy in HK.

@dmitchel0820 Where is the concentration camp in HK?
2
Ask not what the country can do for you but what you can do for the country.
1
@reveirg9 It is not the CIA. It is the NED. They disclosed it on their own web site. NED is a NGO funded by the State department.

@ckaybit Xinjiang is not HK. Xinjiang has a different problem, Islamic Terrorist. I am not suggesting what they are doing is right. But many in the US suggested internment camp for Muslim in US, even though US has comparative less Islamic Terror incident. The CCP is closer in ideology to the Republican far right than you think.
1
No such thing as Easr Turkeatan. It has never been a country.
1
Xinjiang and Tibet have legitimate grievance. HK and Taiwan do not.
1
@wolf-man-bear-pig-torque It is not real. Reuter has a different count using face recognition and AI. But it doesn't really matter what the number is. It is a LOT of people.
1
US police is not the same as HK police. Look at the Dakota Pipeline Protest. Big difference.
1
@dragonslayer2565 Without provocation, police beat up protesters. They used bulldozers and dogs to attack protesters and NO Molotov cocktail were thrown. If they are in HK they will simply bulldoze the road block, sent dogs on them and shoot them if they throw brick. During Ferguson, a woman was tasered and sent to 20 years in jail for throwing rocks at police. HKers get 100 hours of community service. That's the difference.

China has nuke.
1
Hoàng Nguyên You do realize NOBODY survive in a nuclear war. China also have ICBM. YOU ARE JUST TROLLING , RIGHT.
1
Hoàng Nguyên If you are gonna lose the war you WILL use nuclear weapon. Why is US having problem with a small country like N.Korea? It is because they have nuclear weapon.
1
Hoàng Nguyên No they have ICBM and supersonic missiles. They can hit any city in the US.
1
@mightyhabib1182 People did. And they killed one of the cleaners.
1
Exactly what they do. Look at PolyU, can't even wash dishes? Oh yes the maid is not here.
1
Nah, I want car chase, explosion and lots of gun fight. It is a movie right?
1
Did not last. They are burning the court house.
1
We will do for you what we do for Puerto Rico.
1
Their Filipino maid got it for them.
1
Yes, Dalai Lama opposed Tibet Independence and said environmental protection is more important
1
