There are so many idiots in this comment section. China is an authoritarian regime. A lock down is a lock down. They have check point. You will be arrested if you are outside without permission. In US, people are still gathering in the middle of a lock down. They broke the law and yet no one is arrested. In Italy, Italians are now setting up check points and enforcing the law. China is taking down all their check points and temporary hospitals. The medical staff are returning home. So basically, the worst is over. Is it over? Most likely not. Historically there is a second wave. I know a lot of you are Trumpster or China hater. But be fair, look at the facts.

It depends on the competency of your government. Korea 0.7 % fatality. Italy 7% fatality.

Not sure but TRump is also classifying this information. Even worse they don't even give out information on number of masks and ventilators availability.

@RakaZet US also classified this information. And worse, their meetings are also classified. Doctors without security clearance can't attend the meeting.

@fitztastico He got the time wrong. It was 2009, the H1N1 pandemic that infected 70M people and killed 150K people

@oyllowlanavnec1756 He was talking about the 2009 H1N1 outbreak. CDC just made the number available last year, 9 years later. The corrected number was 10 times larger than the original number.

fitztastico You can't blame China for the incompetency of Italy. All Italy did was to close the border with China and think they'll be alright. Japan, Korea , and Taiwan did not close their border but implement their disease control. The result is night and day.

@fitztastico I think it is the nature and it doesn't change anything. US is under reporting right now. Does it change anything? No, I'm still in a lock down. In a few years I think we'll have the real number. This not over yet. There is gonna be What affects us is competence of the government. US didn't do anything for two months, now our medical staff don't even have PPE. And US now want to have a $500B bailout for the corporation, what about getting us some more test kits.
