There is no US interest in Taiwan. That is why they established diplomatic relationship with China and broke off with Taiwan in the first place. So why is US defending Taiwan?

  9.  @charlie-mike4233  It is possible but not likely. US doesn't even recognize Taiwan as a country. US also asked Korea and Japan to pay $10B a year for stationing their troop in their countries. US has also never fought a war where the enemy can attack them. And US had way too much invested in China. And China has a ton of US debt and that will destroy the US economy.
