  3.  @leealex24  Have you taken economic? There is fixed coast and variable cost what is tax? You only pay tax when you make a profit. It has nothing to do with cost.

  4.  @mudshovel289  You just don't get it. Nike has been in Vietnam for years because Chinese wages are too HIGH. And they are going to move back? Even if US consumer can afford the 2 to 3 X in price how are they going to sell to the rest of the world? For reference a US made 501 is $178.

  5.  @mudshovel289  LOL they don't even own the factory. It is contract manufacturing. I don't really care. But I doubt greedy CEO will increase their cost. Low volume US manufacturing means ver high cost and lower volume in Vietnam also means higher cost. He will be fired if that happens.

  6.  @reefread1234  He did this 6 years ago. 2016 no tariff, trade deficit is $480B, 2023 after the China tariff trade deficit is now 778B. Is the tariff working? Are manufacturing coming back? No he made it worse because of reduction of export. Tariff goes both way. These are fact by the US gov. There is no Santa Claus either, son.

  8. In 2016 before tariff US trade deficit is 480B. In 2023 after the China tariff, the trade deficit is now $778B. Is Tariff working? People are not coming back.

  9.  @leealex24  You sound like you don't know American History. US did not have income tax and relied on only tariff. That did not work out as it impacted trade. US gradually reduced the tariff. In 1930 US passed the Smoot Hawley Tariff act. That caused the global trade to decline by 65% and triggered the great Depression or maybe even WW2. No, tariff is bad for everyone.
