  6.  @Potomacstud  Dude go get some facts first. She was NOT arrested for her opinion. She is accused of running a platform to fund lobbyist to sanction HK. This is NOT an opinion. This an action to pay someone to harm your own country.

  7.  @Potomacstud  No the accusation was after the law was passed. She was also arrested for rioting. She plead to illegal assembly and waiting for her sentence on that charge. She is hoping for suspended sentence. Unfortunately the trial won't be broadcast but it will be open to reporters. The HK rule. I want to know the detail as well. How did the police find out since everything is happening oversea? It is a difficult case to prove. But then they might have an informer in her camp.

  8.  @Potomacstud  HK never broadcast court proceeding. Neither do the US court. But the trial is open, anybody can attend and usually the press will cover it. For famous trail, and there is not enough seating, the press get first shot. If Agnes does not plead guilty, she can also request a jury trial. And she also has the right to appeal. I have observed previous trial. Physical evidence play a big part. Judges do not take the police's word. Recently, there was a case. During arrest in a protest, a protester pushed the cop. They both fell. The cop then arrested the guy next to him. The judge found the accused NOT guilty because the cop was pushed from behind and did not see the accused pushing him. in this case the judge considered the man laying next to the cop is only circumstantial evidence. I would have ruled it the other way ans so would most people.

  20.  @JDPA73  It's easy for you to say. But some of the people will be homeless. There is no safety net that I know of. The opposition called for a general strike. How many people showed up? ZERO. People do not agree sanctioning themselves. How is this sanction working out. Did it change any policy? No. She is f..ing up people's life. Did MLK or MalcomX lobby for foreign interference ? No. And they have a much bigger grievance than Chow.
