@socire72 You do not understand Chinese History. Chinese want reunification regardless. Why do you think the older generation in Taiwan favor reunification and younger generation don't. This is an emotional decision not a rational one.

@mikemlejnek4194 They will. Taiwanese do not want to fight. There is a shortage of soldiers. The president candidate Lai's pitch is soldiers will not see any battle field. Their generals said BS, the entire Taiwan will be battle field.

@ignisilluminati US will not fight China mainland. They will only fight in Taiwan. This is because China has missle that will hit US mainland. Imagine NY being hit. Wall street will be down and entire world economy will be destroyed. And Pentagon already did lots of simulation and US always lost except the last simulation. In that case the world economy is destroyed. Taiwan is a wasteland and half the US and Chinese army are gone. So no US does not want a war.

There is no democracy in Taiwan. You can now be posecuted if you have a discounted trip to China and support TPP or KMT for election interference. If not supporting DPP is a crime, how do you call this a democracy.

@Ken00213 Have you heard of the silk road? That is Xinjiang. Hui are Arabs from the middle East as well. I don't know what is your point. Yes the Chinese invaded Xinjiang 3000 years ago and defeated the Huns. In comparison US has only 300 years taking over Indian land, Why aren't you crying for them, Or the Hawaiians that have their land stolen a little over 100 years ago.

It does not posecute retired military for promoting peace. Google World News Journal on DPP's 10 no more. It is a Taiwanese newspaper. You are democratic just because you say you are.
